Friday Favorites, Jil Sander

Jil Sander 15

When looking at this kind of style, I immediately think of Leandra Medine and her blog manrepeller. She started writing her blog with the idea that fashion would often be man repelling where I totally share the same opinion with her. Even here, I mean come on, who would date a girl wearing socks in heels?! But does this hold us fashion infatuated girls back from still wearing it? It definetly shouldn’t! Because it sets a statement and that’s reason enough. The boyish kind of look has always been a way to dress for strong women with courage and self-determination. As I have never really been the ballet kind of girl but rather the girl growing up with boys and wanted to go doing karate instead of dancing, Jil Sander would absolutely match my spirit (which sounds rather ironic because that’s not what I have been representing on this blog at all). I’m still trying to find out about my personal style and it might be a thing that will accompany everyone of us through the rest of our lifes and I might start and give it a go with this kind of look. What I actually wanted to say: this whole collection is a killer ! sneekpeak here:

Friday Favorites, Hermès

HER_0593

If luxury had to be represented by one brand, for me it would probably be Hermès. Of course we could start to argue about that and some people might come up with Chanel and many more houses worth mentioning, but only if you think about the bags, what comes to your mind?
Right, if you own a birkin you are pretty much well supplied. It’s the bag that comes at the end of your wishlist when you could have afforded any other bag. That’s how I would define luxury.
So I picked this outfit because it’s burning hot in Zurich right now and it had to be something light. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to write about it.
I’ve always liked the ancient Roman style. Even as a kid I used to wrap towels around me so that I could look like one of them. It’s such a simple and beautiful way to dress! The pale pink tone of this overall gives this delicate touch every woman would look for in an outfit. Some high sandals and you’re perfectly styled from head to toe.

Friday Favorites, Blumarine

BLU_0368

One more week is over and it’s time for our ‘Friday Favorites’. I was inspired by Chiara Ferragni’s latest Blumarine dress she wore at the AmfAR Gala. I personally think that she looked flawless in it and so I refreshed my mind and went through the whole ready-to-wear spring/summer 15 collection of Blumarine again. I couldn’t explain myself why I forgot about this look because as soon as I saw it I went like “wow!”. I didn’t know that ‘mermaid meets antique Roman’ could be that fantastic!

Friday Favorites, Oscar de la Renta

LUX_3482

If you think of a dress with loafers it clearly seems to be a no go. Well Oscar de la Renta managed to change our minds! After seeing this collection and especially this look I can only recommend you to try. Loafers found their popularity around the world anyway, so why not go directly to this combination? Sure you won’t have the elegance or feminine side you’d expect from a dress or a skirt especially from Oscar de la Renta. But it can be worn on more occasions and not only for cocktail parties or glamourous events. There’s this little casual touch that allows you to do that.

dress with loafers oscar Think of a walk at the Côte d’Azur. Wouldn’t it exactly be what you’d be wearing?

Friday Favorites, tibi

Oversized jumpers, oversized skirts, oversized coats. Fashion right now is oversized. And if you still haven’t got used to, it’s defintely time. This time my tribute goes to the American brand, tibi. With their minimalistic fashion they appeal to many women who have a flair for modern style. What I really like about this look , is the cropped top that combined with the skirt, it covers the bellybutton. And have you had a look at the malone sandals yet? I’ve got to tell you something about them.. they’re on sale, yay!. tibi-malone-lavender-side-ss15mal5080

Friday Favorites going Pucci

Emilio Pucci

I’m not only posting Friday Favorites, that’s for sure. This week I just had to take the time to get some things done and that’s why I haven’t posted anything so far. But now let’s just focus on what we should. My Friday Favorite goes to this incredible gown by Emilio Pucci. The beads as well as the side cut outs give this dress his uniqueness.

MARC0106

Peter Dundas always managed to give the looks this brand recognition. He literally makes you say “oh that’s a Pucci” just by seeing one single piece of the collection. That’s why it brings tears to our eyes thinking of him leaving the house. I’m sure though that Massimo Giorgetti (founder of MSGM) will show us all, that he is just as capable as Dundas. Again I was inspired by one of Spring’s ready-to-wear 2015 runway looks.

Friday Favorites

MARC0019
From now on, every friday I’m going to show you guys one look from the runways which I absolutely love and would wear immediatly. & I think to make a good start with my new tradition there’s no better brand than Chloé. This look was the opening look from the spring 2015 ready-to-wear show. I just love it from the bottom to the top. The gladiator sandals in that pale pink colour got copied a thousand of times because of their popularity and just match the boho dress like nothing else would. It makes you want to pack your bags and just disappear for a beach vacation forever.
